If spring-loaded contacts are used in the mating system, they should operate within the working stroke defined by the approved drawing. Working stroke is different from the total available mechanical travel.

The mechanical interface should establish final seating so the electrical contacts are not used as structural stops.

Cable Construction for Data Applications

Cable conductor count, conductor size, conductor arrangement, shielding, jacket construction and cable length should be selected according to the required electrical channel.
